ROBERT SIPKA

President, CEO & Director

Robert has a technical diploma in Municipal Engineering, and a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering. He spent five years with the City of Calgary as a Municipal Engineer before starting Kanas in 1996. He has since grown it into the innovative company it is today, delivering on his vision for sustainable and accessible housing.

BONNIE HOOPER

Property Manager

Bonnie has over 25 years of experience in the Property Management Industry from the Calgary Housing Company where she oversaw a portfolio of over 3000 units. She has experience with property across a wide range of price points, and expertise in offering warm, inviting, and efficient resident support

JOANNE SIPKA

Director

Joanne has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the Haskayne School of Business in Calgary, and over 25 years of experience in business negotiations and team leadership. Joanne has been involved in Kanas' growth and development since it's inception.

JEFFREY IWUCHUKWU

Property Manager

Jeffrey brings over five years of progressive experience managing large residential portfolios and leading high-performing teams. He is recognized for improving operations, driving occupancy and performance, and building strong, accountable teams. Jeffrey is committed to delivering exceptional resident experiences while supporting the company's long-term growth and success.

WENDY HENNEL-MEIER

CFO

Wendy holds a CPA designation, and MBA from Ivey Business School. She has over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, specifically in construction, large-scale solar projects, start-ups and nonprofits. She enjoys being a part of future-proofing buildings that offer comfort and long-term affordability to residents.
